Mold Setter 1st Shift (6:00AM - 2:30PM)

About the role

Coordinates and assists with activities of associates engaged in maintaining and operating all equipment.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist associates on performing preventive maintenance assignments.
• Perform machine set up, operate machinery safely, and ensure equipment safety features are in place and functioning properly.
• Ensure scrap is recorded accurately and disposed of daily; ensure rework is completed at end of day.
• Fill in for associates when necessary.
• Understand and operate/assist individual process stations on all equipment.
• Perform lock-out and tag-out (LOTO) procedures for clearing equipment faults and restoring machine energy per established LOTO procedures.
• Inform Team Leader or Production Manager of any quality or safety issues.
• Complete paperwork and data entry accurately.
• Maintain 5S3D, Kaizen and all elements of SQDCME.
• Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Train and assist associates on adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards.
• Train associates on safety‑related processes.
• Analyze and provide input to resolve work problems or assist associates in solving work problems.
• Follow lead operators and team leader’s direction during emergencies.
• Understand and follow response procedures for all types of emergency events.
