Job Details
This is a first shift position, and the hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
All positions are safety sensitive.
Requirements
- Supports production by building or repairing plastic injection molds.
- Follow standard work process to ensure best practice following schedule and quality requirements.
- Operate manual tool room equipment.
- Sets up equipment by studying mold components, materials, tolerances, and machine capabilities.
- Perform other duties, assignments and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of good mold maintenance practices and procedures (preventive maintenance, repair, overhauls).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to work overtime.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in fiberglass (dust/handling fiberglass items/etc.).
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel to work on molds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions
- Daily use of overhead cranes.
- Daily exposure to mold cleaning solutions, grease.
- Daily work in mold shop as well as in a grinding booth.
- May work with all tools/equipment available at mold shop.
- Work environment may include but not be limited to painting and assembly departments.
- Required use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
- Use of equipment found in mold shop including but not limited to surface grinders, welding equipment, band saw, etc.
