About the role

Join the Dermatology team as a Mohs Surgical Assistant (MA-C). In this role you will ensure that instruments and supplies are cleaned, sterilized and available as needed, provide hands-on assisting with Mohs procedures and wound closures/repairs, and assist with lab/pathology processing of Mohs specimens. In addition, the Mohs assistant will assist the dermatology providers in day-to-day dermatology patient flow.

Schedule

Part-Time Schedule (28 hours/week): 8am-3:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (Wednesday off after successful completion of training). Must have excellent attendance! Consistent, dependable, and predictable attendance is crucial in helping us fulfill our mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care. We require our employees to adhere to our attendance standards, as frequent deviations make it difficult to provide care for our patients and support our coworkers.

Requirements

  • Active Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification
  • Working knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization practices
  • Two years of experience in an outpatient surgery center, Mohs dermatology practice, or office-based surgery department preferred
  • Dermatology experience preferred

Pay

Hiring Wage: generally between $25.30-$30.70 and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience. Pay Range $21.81 - $30.53.
