Mohs Surgical Assistant NP/PA

Responsibilities

• Aid the Mohs Surgeon during surgical procedures, including patient preparation, local anesthesia, and intraoperative support.
• Perform wound closures such as suturing and basic reconstructive techniques.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including patient education and follow-up.
• Support efficient surgical workflow and patient throughput in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Collaborate with clinical support staff to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
• Serve as a patient advocate and educator throughout the surgical process.

Qualifications

• NP or PA with a strong interest in surgical dermatology and Mohs procedures.
• Prior surgical dermatology or procedural experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Interest in developing advanced surgical and procedural skills within a high-volume Mohs setting.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients and team members.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and highly organized with strong follow-through and accountability.
• Licensure/Certifications/Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program, current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, active and unrestricted Tennessee medical license or ability to obtain prior to start date, current DEA registration or ability to obtain.
