Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, review medical histories, and prepare patients for Mohs surgery.
- Obtain informed consent and assist the Mohs surgeon during procedures and reconstructions.
- Monitor and support patients throughout the surgical process.
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
- Track pathology and laboratory results.
- Call in prescriptions and coordinate follow-up care as directed.
- Answer patient phone calls and address clinical questions appropriately.
- Prepare procedure rooms and surgical trays.
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Help maintain inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available.
- Auxiliary in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient surgical environment.
- Collaborate with physicians and team members to provide outstanding patient care.
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Previous dermatology, surgical, procedural, or medical office experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to teamwork.
