Mohs Surgeon - Sarasota, Punta Gorda

About the role

Suncoast Skin Solutions is seeking a Board-Certified and Fellowship-trained MOHS Surgeon to join our growing practice. We have a strong need for a full-time Fellowship-trained MOHS Surgeon at our Sarasota and Punta Gorda office locations, performing MOHS and some General Dermatology. You are a leader who can collaborate well with other staff to improve patient outcomes and emphasize educating patients on preventive care techniques, communicating important health information effectively and compassionately. Experience working with various ages, ethnicities, and cultures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a collaborative, supervising physician role
• Perform MOHS and general dermatology procedures
• Demonstrate manual dexterity and an eye for detail
• Track and maintain patients' records regularly
• Work with an EMR system
• Adhere to state laws and regulations
• Maintain a strong commitment to quality and safety of patients
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance
• Handle confidential information with great knowledge of procedures

Requirements

• Board-Certified Physician in Dermatology
• Active State of Florida License
• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Dermatology from an approved university
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to empathize with patients
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on the company’s success
• Team player with good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
