Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN

We are seeking a hard-working, energetic, and optimistic teammate to join us as a Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN. Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments and Mohs procedure appointments, and conduct pre-op confirmation calls to scheduled patients
- Review pathology and lab results with patients per provider’s instructions
- Oversee the management of the CLIA binder to ensure all logs are completed on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis
- Ensure Mohs lab is completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly stored and organized
- Ensure exam rooms are completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly stored and organized
- Train new clinical support staff
- Serve as the Mohs phone nurse during open office hours, and ensure that all voicemails are checked and returned in a timely manner (after hours contact required)
- Build, oversee, and edit schedule template, per surgeon’s requests or as needed
- Order Mohs supplies as needed, including all surgical, cosmetic, sample, and lab supplies
Requirements
- Licensed medical assistant or further nursing degree preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, physicians, and patients
- Prior hands-on laboratory experience preferred
- Prior dermatology experience is a plus; Mohs experience preferred
- Prior EMR experience
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, ability to work with minimal supervision
