Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN

We are seeking a hard-working, energetic, and optimistic teammate to join us as a Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN. Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and Mohs procedure appointments, and conduct pre-op confirmation calls to scheduled patients
• Review pathology and lab results with patients per provider’s instructions
• Oversee the management of the CLIA binder to ensure all logs are completed on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis
• Ensure Mohs lab is completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly stored and organized
• Ensure exam rooms are completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly stored and organized
• Train new clinical support staff
• Serve as the Mohs phone nurse during open office hours, and ensure that all voicemails are checked and returned in a timely manner (after hours contact required)
• Build, oversee, and edit schedule template, per surgeon’s requests or as needed
• Order Mohs supplies as needed, including all surgical, cosmetic, sample, and lab supplies

Requirements

• Licensed medical assistant or further nursing degree preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, physicians, and patients
• Prior hands-on laboratory experience preferred
• Prior dermatology experience is a plus; Mohs experience preferred
• Prior EMR experience
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, ability to work with minimal supervision
