Moench Center for Church Leadership - Communications and Content Assistant

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Aid in weekly podcast and social media clip editing under the direction of the Grant Coordinator
• Create concepts and scripts for new social media content, aligning with the MCCL’s brand and mission
• Assist in social media video shoots
• Participate in virtual podcast recording sessions
• Update weekly social media analytics, observing trends and reporting insights and strategies to the Grant Coordinator
• Attend regular 1-on-1 development meetings with the Grant Coordinator to refine skills
• Write informed, well-researched blog posts for the MCCL website
• Support MCCL events (e.g., set up/tear down) as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Conditions

• This position is primarily computer- and office-based but may occasionally require assisting with event setup and teardown
• Standing for extended periods during events may be necessary
• Lifting materials up to 25 pounds may be required

Required Education

• Graduate Student Worker preferred, but undergraduate candidates with relevant skills are considered
• Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University
• Preference given to those majoring in theology, creative programs (photography, motion pictures, audio engineering, graphic design, etc.), or related fields

Required Qualifications

• Excellent oral and digital communication skills
• Proficiency with consumer and professional creative software (Canva, Photoshop, Premiere, Final Cut, Logic Pro, etc.)
• Experience capturing photo or video
• Strong organizational skills
• Motivated to meet deadlines

Required Experience

• Experience in content creation, photography, videography, graphic design, podcast production, or related creative work
