Module Estimator

About the role

The Module Estimator will prepare cost estimating services for the preparation of bids and projects to support Structural assembly and fabrication. Ensures all costs are properly captured and documented.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work.
• Conduct bid review meetings with the Manager of Estimating, Project Manager, and/or business line management to finalize bid, markup, and strategies.
• Communicate with module team to develop subcontract packages.
• Manage bid pricing from subcontractors.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.
• Ensure timely completion of estimates.
• Understand all scopes of work and price accordingly.
• Apply basic technical skills and knowledge to complete assigned work.
• Manage own time to meet agreed targets; develop plans for short-term work activities in own area.
• Ability to work in teams or as an individual.
• Demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or relevant work experience.
• Typically has 2-5 years’ relevant experience.

• Ability to reach, stand, walk, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and see.
• Perform repetitive motions.
• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
• Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
