Responsibilities
- Expert in modeling and simulation functions or operations such as, but not limited to exercises, plans, coordination, demonstrations, and instruction in the fields such as, but not limited to health, environmental, transportation, law enforcement, military, and civil agencies.
- Provides supervision and guidance on the proper operation and use of simulation models and exercises.
- May support live, constructive, or virtual training.
- Evaluates and recommends new M&S technologies and methodologies that would enhance current capabilities and provide higher fidelity results.
- Prepare and present comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and presentations on M&S activities and findings.
- Lead data collection, analysis, and validation efforts to ensure high fidelity and accuracy of simulation models.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- 12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience using industry accepted methods and tools used in the analyses, to include recurring technology assessment.
- Basic application knowledge in modeling and simulation functions or operations such as plans, coordination, exercises, demonstrations, and instruction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Desired Qualifications
- Masters Degree
- Experience with configuration management tools: GIT, Sourcesafe, ClearCase, BitBucket, GitHub
- Experience with the following software tools: MATLAB/Simulink, Python, Ansys STK, SolidEdge/SolidWorks (or other CAD tools)
- Experience writing, reviewing, and maintaining new or existing software requirements, technical documentation such as user manuals, product specifications, and training materials
Clearance Requirements
Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
