Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Integration Engineer (Junior)

About the role

The Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Integration Engineer (Junior) will support the mission of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Engineering Directorate Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Office (DES) in the role of Integration Manager (IM).

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops moderately complex test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services.
• May design and build moderately complex test stations.
• Serve as DES-I representative during events, coordinating issue resolution with integration teams and providing status reporting (e.g., EODs).
• Coordinate communications, staffing, travel requirements, and internal briefings in support of event execution.
• Afford assistance with scheduling and coordination of test resources and M&S configuration management, including Change Requests and software updates.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
• Ability to work in a technically complex environment interfacing with simulation developers, integration personnel, analysts, planners, testers, and stakeholders
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Experience supporting integrated system test events
• Experience with staffing coordination and event resource management
• Familiarity with real-time distributed simulation infrastructures, MDS element operations, and DoD Operational and Developmental Testing
• General understanding of overall MDS infrastructure and element capabilities

• Strong technical skills in simulation and testing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
