About the Role

As an aerospace modeling and simulation (M&S) engineer at Booz Allen, you will develop next-generation defense tools and technology. Your expertise will contribute to evaluating new technologies, performing risk assessments, and improving aerospace system designs. You will collaborate with a large community of aerospace solutions engineers and clients to design, model, and simulate a tactical next-generation broker service, helping the Air Force expand and improve capabilities to share information across multiple sources at different enclaves.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, improve, and design leading-edge aerospace technology.
  • Develop and assess cross-domain or communications systems using tools like Cameo and SysML.
  • Utilize COTS and GOTS M&S and data science tools (e.g., MATLAB, C++, Perl, Python) to manipulate data and perform post-processing.
  • Apply operational analysis principles to execute study plans and analysis matrices.
  • Collaborate with engineers and clients to deliver world-class solutions.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with M&S, including academic experience.
  • Experience with scenario development and analytical assessments of cross-domain or communications systems using Cameo and SysML.
  • Experience with COTS and GOTS M&S and data science tools (e.g., MATLAB, C++, Perl, Python).
  • Knowledge of cross-domain or communications systems, including aircraft and ground-based communications.
  • Ability to apply operational analysis principles to execute study plans and analysis matrices.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) scripts to customize model behaviors.
  • Experience with mission-level constructive simulation tools (e.g., AFSIM, EMANE, TNM, CORE).
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of raw model output to identify key drivers.
  • Ability to distill, summarize, and articulate complex technical insights and findings.
  • TS/SCI clearance.

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet this threshold are eligible for select offerings, excluding health benefits.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by factors including location, education, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

  • Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at Booz Allen or customer facilities.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility.

For virtual roles, cameras are generally expected to be on during meetings to support engagement and communication.
