About the role
The Department of Media, Art and Design in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is continuously accepting applications for artist models to support Studio Art classes in the study of drawing the human figure.
Artist models must be able to strike and hold undraped poses in a professional art education setting and have the physical ability to hold sitting, standing, reclining, and gestural poses for up to 30 minutes.
Schedule
The department’s need for artist models allows flexibility in scheduling. The average model will work between three and ten class sessions per semester, usually for three hours each session.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dependable, professional, and mature
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the performing arts, such as dance or theatre
Pay
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.
Benefits
This position is not eligible for University benefits. Individuals in non-benefit-eligible positions may choose to participate in the Tax Deferred Annuity Plan (403b).
