MOD - Material Handler II (Spider)-1st Shift

About the role

The MOD - Material Handler II (Spider) position is located at Eaton's ES AMER HQ MFGSC division in Duncan, SC. The core hours are Monday - Friday, 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., with potential for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Moves material throughout the Modification and Distribution Center via receiving, re-stocking, picking, packing, shipping to enable the Mod Center to process customer orders.
• Retrieves appropriate styles & quantities of material from warehouse locations using appropriate picking process.
• Places materials in containers, visually inspects product, verifies with scanning equipment if required, verifies accuracy of product count.
• Utilizes same skills to restock/replenish.
• Operates reach truck, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in the execution of duties.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met in operating the equipment.
• Stages and re-stocks all supplies, pallets, carts, and boxes of materials in appropriate areas of the Mod Center workstations.
• Tracks and replenishes all material needed to support the team in daily operations.
• Verifies styles and quantities of materials that need to be ordered to support this process and alerts Lead or Supervisor.
• Visually inspects products and shipping paperwork for outbound shipment compliance.
• Inducts/ships outbound Mod Center orders through Manhattan system.
• Places packing lists, content labels, and shipping labels where appropriate.
• Places adequate banding and wrapping material for all outbound pallet shipments and/or cartons.
• Resolves discrepancies.
• Researches all possible solutions to ensure order is accurate.
• Follows written and oral instructions.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures including practice of good housekeeping.
• Maintains quality workmanship, observes safety procedures, reports unsafe acts, and performs work of equal or lower classification if necessary.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Prior forklift and/or order picker operation experience.
• No relocation benefits are being offered for this position.
• Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.
