Mobility Technician - FT- Days- MRH
Location: Hollywood, Florida
Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Educate staff on use of patient handling equipment.
- Utilize patient handling equipment that assists in the repositioning, lifting, transferring and ambulation of patients.
- Maintain all competencies and annual employee requirements.
- Document activity, level of assistance, and distance for each patient intervention.
- Assist with the repositioning, lifting, transferring and ambulation of patients.
- Work collaboratively with the team in a supportive role and may include answering phones, call lights, and runner activities.
- Work collaboratively as part of the nursing-patient care service team and adhere to department and hospital base procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- BLS certification from the following:
- American Heart Association (BLS AHA ECARD, BLS AHA-RQI ECARD, BLS AHA, BLS GRACE)
- Red Cross (BLS RC)
