Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for off-site breakdowns and repairs, including roadside tractor and trailer repairs.
• Perform minor repairs and guide drivers on next steps for major repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, focusing on root causes for permanent fixes.
• Identify and isolate non-diesel repair items (e.g., trailer, tires) and ensure timely resolution.
• Repair stranded vehicles roadside, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
• Manage OEM parts, warranties, and on-truck parts inventory.
• Complete records in computer systems for equipment history.
• Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant work area.
• Assist with moving equipment in the yard as needed.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of heavy equipment/mechanic experience.
• Proven customer service skills and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to read repair manuals and complete repair orders.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software for tractors/trailers.
• May require a Class A CDL based on service truck setup.
