About the role

Tesla is currently seeking an experienced Mobile Tire Technician to contribute to work on one of the most progressive vehicles in the world. This role involves substantial customer and employee interaction, requiring technical expertise and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service. The position entails daily travel within the region, as directed by the Mobile Tire Dispatch Team. Membership of our world‑class service team requires a dedication to supporting cutting‑edge EV technology and accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform apprentice‑level inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles.
  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
  • Perform equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
  • Maintain records of time, expenses, materials, and cleanliness of vehicles.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Support other Mobile Service Technicians and Tesla Service Centers as needed.
  • Daily regional travel.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of methods and techniques in the maintenance and repair of vehicles; trade school training/ASEs preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience mounting and balancing tires and tire repair.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the public and multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new systems, processes, and a dynamic work environment.
  • Comfort with daily regional travel and operating a large service vehicle (including tow trucks and trailers).
  • Valid driver’s license required; must be willing to become DOT certified.

Pay

Expected compensation is $30.50 – $44.84 per hour plus cash and stock awards and benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
