Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive daily work assignments and customer schedules from the Service Advisors and Service Manager.
  • Perform instructed and scheduled repair, maintenance, and service as needed on various vehicles and equipment as instructed by the Service Advisors and Service Manager.
  • Travel to customer locations to provide maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services to include but not limited to engines, transmission, differential, brake components, wheel end, air components, electrical, HVAC, after treatment operation and components.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner on job status and schedule status.
  • Communicate regularly with Service Manager on job status and schedule status.
  • Maintain service truck in a clean, organized, and professional condition.
  • Possess general knowledge of vehicle warranty requirements. Ability to distinguish and maintain used parts for warranty purposes.
  • Stock and maintain service truck inventory, tool collection, and complete all necessary paperwork daily
  • Adhere to all traffic laws while operating company provided service vehicle, which are monitored by GPS for safety and compliance purposes.

About the Role

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or the equivalent.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Valid CLD is preferred.
  • Must provide own tools.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with diesel truck and trailer repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
  • Dealership experience preferred.
  • Must be able to sufficiently perform engine diagnostics with laptop/software.
  • This is a physically demanding position.
  • Will stand six to eight hours per shift.
  • Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel.
  • Will lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Will use hand and power tools, hoist and test equipment.
  • Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
  • Will be required to participate in an on call schedule.
