Responsibilities
- Mobile Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on a variety of recreational vehicles.
- This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent customer service, as you will represent our company in the field.
- The primary duties will include:
- Travel to customer locations to perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure RVs meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers
- Documenting all work performed, including parts used and labor time, in the dealership's service management system
- Communicating with service advisors and customers to provide detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance work
- Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and technical bulletins
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies
- All other responsibilities as assigned
- Willing to learn all aspects of RV repair including house repairs
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent; RV experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- RVIA/RVDA certification or other relevant industry certifications (preferred)
- Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and software (preferred)
- Familiarity with warranty repair processes and documentation (preferred)
