Responsibilities

  • Mobile Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on a variety of recreational vehicles.
  • This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent customer service, as you will represent our company in the field.
  • The primary duties will include:
    • Travel to customer locations to perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components
    • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
    • Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure RVs meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers
    • Documenting all work performed, including parts used and labor time, in the dealership's service management system
    • Communicating with service advisors and customers to provide detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance work
    • Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and technical bulletins
    • Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition
    • Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies
    • All other responsibilities as assigned
  • Willing to learn all aspects of RV repair including house repairs

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Strong knowledge of RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • High school diploma or equivalent; RV experience preferred
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • RVIA/RVDA certification or other relevant industry certifications (preferred)
    • Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and software (preferred)
    • Familiarity with warranty repair processes and documentation (preferred)
