Description
- Work second shift on site, 2:30 pm – 11:30 pm, M-F.
- Provide on-site mobile response to UH students who present with behavioral health concerns and/or experiencing mental health crises in partnership with the University of Houston Police Department (UHPD).
- Conduct crisis intervention, mental health assessment, case management, and case monitoring.
- Perform clinical assessments in various locations based on the nature of the request and assist individuals in accessing the appropriate level of care.
- Provide ongoing case management and follow-up to clients to facilitate stabilization and transition to counseling, psychiatry, or other appropriate community resources.
- Communicate and collaborate with other campus departmental resources and community providers to facilitate continuity of care for students in crisis.
- Provide supportive resources/referrals to bystanders, family and friends of individuals experiencing mental health crises as needed.
- Provide outreach and education to the UH community to promote help seeking, reduce stigma, and train on how to recognize signs of distress.
- Maintain current, accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal law, professional ethics, and university policies.
- Collaborate with the Administrative Team to conduct Program Assessment that may include:
- Collect and analyze data for clinical operations and decision making
- Assess and evaluate program effectiveness
- Identify and define system issues while developing and implementing effective solutions.
- Participate in departmental, divisional, and university-wide meetings as required.
- May be assigned other relevant duties as applicable.
Qualifications
- Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge.
- Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
- Licensed as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT or Psychologist.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
