Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Identify and give recommendations for repairs and make all critical machine and safety related repairs/adjustments.
- Remove and install parts, disassemble and craft components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
- Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
- Create critical adjustments as required to various parts, components and systems.
- Communicate effectively and expertly with customers on their repairs.
- Finish the necessary documentation and follow up as required in a timely, orderly manner.
- Create a work environment that is considerate of the customer’s needs.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn to effectively use company software – with training.
- General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools & instruments, and diagnostic software.
- Technical school certificate OR equivalent 1 year experience in automotive lube service is required.
