Mobile Phlebotomist in and around Bronx New York and surrounding areas- Medical Benefits

PTI Health (www.ptihealth.com) seeks an experienced, full-time Mobile Phlebotomist who has a passion for caring for people. Multiple positions are available for immediate hire.

About the role

As a PTI Phlebotomist, you will procure blood and other laboratory specimens from home-bound patients and patients at facilities such as nursing homes, drug rehabilitation centers, adult daycares, and PSC. This position requires attention to detail, a great attitude, empathy, patience, a caring spirit, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with the highest level of care.
• Uphold the highest level of ethical behavior.
• Follow policies, procedures, and requirements stipulated by PTI Mobile Lab and our partners.
• Procure blood and other laboratory specimens from patients utilizing standard venipuncture (and other appropriate) procedures.
• Process specimens (centrifuge, pipette, and freeze when required).
• Transport specimens to local lab or PSC for processing.

Requirements

• Valid NCPT Phlebotomy certificate by NCCT, NHA, or a current certification by an accepted certifying agency for phlebotomy. Annual competencies must be demonstrated to remain in the position.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience; mobile phlebotomy experience is a plus.
• Experience using an iPad, centrifuge, and office printer.
• Reliable and efficient transportation is required. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and proof of current liability insurance, or alternatively, be able to use public transportation and possess an OMNY Card.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, no weekends or holidays.
• 8-hour day shift, typically starting at 7 am and ending at 3 pm.

Pay

• $1,000 sign-on bonus.
• $27.00 per hour, plus reimbursement for miles driven.
• Pay for Performance incentives.
