Mobile Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks and complete work orders across multiple properties in a timely and safe manner, including preventative maintenance work orders, plumbing repairs, basic electrical work, and HVAC troubleshooting; develop familiarity with BAS (building automation systems) and energy management systems.
  • Follow safety protocols and use PPE for all tasks; ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA and company safety protocols; promote safe working conditions and report hazards immediately; participate in safety audits for all properties.
  • Carry out property inspections, including lighting audits, roof inspections, and parking lot checks; report any unsafe conditions immediately; identify deficiencies to supervisor, recommending improvements; maintain accurate records of equipment and performance logs.
  • Address unscheduled maintenance calls, such as plumbing emergencies, HVAC issues, and tenant comfort requests.
  • Maintain inspection records for building equipment and report abnormalities to supervisors.
  • Monitor service contractors for outsourced repairs and maintenance.
  • Participate in development programs and mentoring to grow into advanced roles; gain hands-on experience with BAS and energy management systems, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and fire safety systems.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with teammates, leadership team, vendors, tenants, and client employees in a professional manner, keeping the appropriate customer(s) informed/updated as needed.
  • Collaborate with property managers, engineers, and contractors to support building operations and resolve tenant issues; work with vendors and contractors to complete repairs and maintenance.
  • Safely use company vehicles to travel between sites to perform repairs and inspections, adhering to all traffic laws.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Technical or vocational training, and/or 1-2 years of on-the-job training in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, or plumbing
  • Possess engineering and trade licenses required according to local, state, or national requirements
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record with the ability to adhere to Use of Company Vehicle policy/procedures
  • Basic working knowledge of laptop and phone applications for work order and facility operation systems as well as basic skills with Microsoft Outlook
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent internal and external customer service; ability to successfully interact/communicate with tenants/vendors/contractors as well as teammates and leadership team
  • Familiarity with blueprints and code requirements
  • Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations as necessary to meet the needs of the client
  • Possess competent knowledge of use and care of tools
  • Familiar with fire/life safety equipment/procedures
  • Able to read and write English in order to understand manuals and procedures, and write reports.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds; perform physically demanding tasks such as stooping, crouching, and kneeling.

Pay Range

$18 - $25 USD
