About the Role
Responsible for removing and replacing worn or ruptured hydraulic hoses and refilling the hydraulic reservoir as needed.
Responsibilities
- Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
- Fabricates and/or replaces hydraulic hoses
- Fabricates new hoses as it relates to the installation of new attachments and ensures proper routing of the hoses
- Responds to customer needs in a positive, professional, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for the work performed
- Follows standard operating procedures
- Maintains paperwork documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner daily
- Learns and understands the various thread types as well as the vast array of hoses used in different pressure, media, and ambient environments
- Ensures inventory on the truck is valuable and organized
- Keeps the truck organized, clean, and properly maintained
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of relevant experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and/or wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions
- Must tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors associated with the shop
- Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workday
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
