Mobile Automotive Technician

About the role

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring an Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join their team in Manteca, CA.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium-duty fleet vehicles.
• Must have air brake repair expertise.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Required DOT Inspections and repairs on Hino's, Isuzu, and Cummins vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below).

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required).

Skills

• Hands-on experience with Hino's, Isuzu, and Cummins vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Schedule

Thursday - Sunday 700 pm - 530 am

Pay

$30.00 - $35.00/hour (based on experience)

Working Conditions

• Mobile, outside, and/or shop environment.
• Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases.
• Frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods.
• Lifting heavy objects.
• Accessing tight or confined spaces.
• Regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment.
• May be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms.
• Safety procedures and company policies.
• Essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces.
• Ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace.
