About the role
Join BGIS as a Mobile General Skilled Technician in Tampa, FL. BGIS is seeking a Mobile General Skilled Technician to help keep client facilities operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Apply your electrical, maintenance, and troubleshooting expertise to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and small projects
- Tackle general repairs, small service projects (e.g., walls, windows, doors)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with appliances and building systems
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance
- Provide minor HVAC and plumbing support to trade-specific technicians
- Engage with clients to confirm service requests and ensure satisfaction
- Adhere to safety standards and building regulations
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical systems (three-phase wiring, generators, lighting) in commercial buildings like offices, retail spaces, and factories
- Proficient with power tools (e.g., drills, saws)
- Ability to provide accurate repair estimates
- Commitment to safety best practices
- Professional, courteous, and customer-focused demeanor
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and diagrams
- Budget management experience
- Comfort using mobile devices (cellphones, tablets) for work orders
- Demonstrated experience in general repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing) in commercial settings
- High school diploma or GED required
- Trade school education in building-related fields preferred
- Relevant training certifications are a plus

Pay
Hourly Rate: $30-$34/hour ($62,400-$70,720 annually)
