Mobile Fleet Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty diesel trucks and trailers
• Provide quality customer service, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
• Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
• Assemble and disassemble vehicle engines and clean fuel tanks
• Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them as necessary
• Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts, including tires
• Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation’s road safety requirements
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management
• Respond promptly to client queries, interact with customers in person or via phone

Requirements

• 4+ years of tractor-trailer mechanic experience or related field preferred
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders
• Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing
• Knowledge in ABS, brakes, diagnostics, electronics, lights, hydraulics, suspensions, Power, Reefer, Heavy Duty
• Experience with welding
• High school diploma

• Performance incentives that pay between $300-$1000 USD
• $30.00 - USD $40.00 /Hr.
