About the role
Penn Jersey Diesel & Trailer is expanding and seeks a Mobile Fleet Technician to provide on-site service to a growing network of loyal customers based out of Swedesboro, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customers' Commercial Tractors and Trailers
- Write detailed work orders for Mobile Road Calls and/or In Yard
- Provide quality customer service
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
- Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
- Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required
- Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires
- Check and repair the brake, electrical, and hydraulic system
- Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
- Ensure that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements
- Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report all findings to management
- Respond to client queries as soon as possible
Requirements
- 5+ years of verified experience of Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair experience
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds
- Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing
- Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks
- Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders

- High School Diploma or equivalent, technical school degree
- Class A CDL
