Mobile Fleet Technician

At Accelerated Fleet Services, we’re proud of how much we pay our team. Our average mechanics earn between $100k - $135K per year, considering the hours worked versus the hours invoiced. This position consists of 10-hour shifts and includes an on-call rotation. You'll be assigned to designated customer sites each day, allowing you to maintain consistent hours while remaining available to respond to service calls as needed. We pay you for every hour you invoice on a job (flag hours), not just the hours you clock in—so the faster and better you work, the more you can earn.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair our customers' commercial tractors and trailers
• Write detailed work orders while working mobile road calls and/or in-yard
• Provide quality customer service
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
• Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
• Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required
• Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires
• Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
• Ensure trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report all findings to management
• Respond as soon as possible to client queries

Pay

Hourly pay rates are based on years of experience and expertise. The starting amount shown is for an experienced mobile diesel mechanic with at least 5 years of experience.

USD $33.00 - USD $38.00 per hour
