Mobile Fleet Technician

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial tractors and trailers
- Write detailed work orders for mobile road calls and in-yard service
- Provide quality customer service
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
- Maintain hubs and axles, adjusting or replacing them as required
- Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires
- Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
- Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements
- Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management
- Respond promptly to client queries
Requirements
- 5+ years of verified commercial tractor and trailer repair experience
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds
- Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing
- Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks
- Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders
- Your own tools
Qualifications
- Experience with welding (certification a plus)
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical school degree a plus)

USD $35.00 – USD $47.00 per hour
