Mobile Fleet Technician

About the role

Penn Jersey Diesel & Trailer is expanding and seeks a Mobile Fleet Technician to provide on-site service to a growing network of loyal customers based in Bensalem, PA.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Tractors and Trailers
• Write detailed work orders for Mobile Road Calls and/or In Yard
• Provide quality customer service
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
• Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
• Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required
• Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires
• Check and repair the brake, electrical, and hydraulic system
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
• Ensure that trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report all findings to management
• Respond to client queries as soon as possible

Requirements

• 5+ years of verified experience of Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
• Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders

Qualifications

• Experience with welding, certification a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent, technical school degree, a plus
• Class A CDL
