Mobile Fire Truck Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities
The key job duties include analyzing malfunctions and determining the necessary repairs for fire and emergency equipment, operating and inspecting this equipment, and evaluating the best course of action to return the apparatus to a safe operating condition.
- Analyzing malfunctions and determining the necessary repairs for fire and emergency equipment, including chassis, body, water pumps, electrical components, and engines.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using specialized tooling.
- Repair, rebuild, overhaul, and replace defective assemblies and components.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency and safety prior to releasing the apparatus for duty.
Requirements
We are looking for diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles, a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the role.

Schedule
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with overtime available, including after-hour calls, and no rotating shifts.
