The purpose of this position is to operate a variety of equipment for the purposes of road/bridge construction and maintenance.
The incumbent must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and able to interpret unforeseen conditions as they may arise.
Job Duties and Other Information
- Operate equipment, as needed.
- Perform manual tasks such as pothole patching, manual cutting of brush and grass, ditch digging, cleaning buildings, assisting in mud jack operations, cutting trees, collecting litter, etc.
- Perform minor repairs, services, preventative maintenance, and clean equipment.
- May be required to perform other duties as necessary, including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities.
Position-Specific Details
The incumbent shall possess the following before appointment:
- Class A CDL license (MEO 2 and Heavy)
- Requires random drug testing
- Required to work in all types of inclement weather and conditions.
This position is considered Disaster Essential.
