Mobile Engineer
About The Role
As a CBRE Mobile Building Engineer, you will support several facilities in the Newburgh, NY area, performing repairs and maintaining buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and ground requests. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function and involves providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. You must be comfortable with extensive daily travel within the Newburgh, NY area and live within a designated radius of the job site to reliably meet the work schedule/shift.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems to ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed for repairs, and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building machinery and systems; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
- Conduct inspections of building and industrial systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities and meets environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of your job discipline while demonstrating broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

Requirements
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Commercial and industrial maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical (overhead doors), electrical (3-phase, lighting/ballast), and plumbing systems.
- Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of four (4) years of proven experience as a building engineer.
- Universal EPA license required; mobile maintenance experience highly preferred.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record with periodic checks.
Qualifications
- Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
- CFC Certification.
Skills
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience and apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Pay
The minimum hourly rate for the Mobile Engineer position is $33.00 per hour, and the maximum hourly rate is $36.00 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience.
