As a Mobile Engineer at CBRE, you will focus on facility building maintenance for retail sites within the Memphis area, covering trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs. The company provides a fully equipped vehicle, essential tools, fuel card, relevant technology, and a branded uniform to support your work.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems to ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards.
- Review inspections of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to confirm equipment operates within design capabilities and achieves prescribed environmental conditions.
- Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills by reviewing work orders, estimating completion time, and identifying materials needed for repairs.
- Maintain truck stock inventory to ensure adequate supplies and tools are available.
- Perform preventive maintenance work orders to extend the life of building machinery and systems; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
- Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE’s RISE values, building consensus and persuading others to reach agreements.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies to achieve objectives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Universal CFC certification and a valid Driver’s license required.
- Meet physical requirements of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to explore new perspectives on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Service Channel is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
