About the Role
Cumberland International Trucks, Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Mobile Maintenance Diesel Technician to join our service team in Nashville, TN. You’ll have your own company truck, laptop, and phone to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty commercial trucks at customer locations. This is a full-time, hourly position with overtime after 40 hours per week.
Pay
Competitive hourly wage of $35.00 - $40.00 per hour (not flat rate) plus a monthly efficiency bonus. A sign-on bonus is awarded after 90 days with a passed drug screen.

Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and electrical
- Repair or replace transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
- Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results to offer suitable solutions
- Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge performance
- Complete oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks
- Maintain records of parts replaced on serviced vehicles
- Notify service consultant of any additional services needed and complete upon authorization
- Provide details of the repair on the work order including the three Cs: Customer Complaint, Cause, and Correction
- Ensure guest vehicles are returned to customers as clean as they were prior to service
- Treat all guests, visitors, and dealership personnel with respect and courtesy
- Strictly adhere to manufacturer policies and procedures for labor operations, time, and repair order documentation, especially for warranty repairs and torque specs
- Provide administrative assistance to complete warranty repair orders and other tasks assigned by management or required by the warranty administrator
- Update repair advocate and case files throughout the day and at the end of your shift
- Update the Service Supervisor on the status of repairs before the end of the shift
- Return the work order packet with keys inside at the end of your shift
- Check OEM website for components or repairs requiring pre-approval
- Provide ECM image and OEM documentation completed and included in the work order jacket
- Tag all warranty cores with VIN number and RO number and have the work order signed when cores are turned in by the Warranty Administrator or Service Foreman
- Complete all technical training and OEM educational requirements in the specified timeframe
- Produce quality work that demonstrates pride of workmanship
- Maintain your workspace in an organized and clean manner
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working on diesel engines
- Experience in mobile diesel diagnostics/repair is desired
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL license
- Team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team
- Professional conduct
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Experience with Cummins, Detroit, and CAT engines
- ASE certifications and OEM training (we are willing to train)
