Responsibilities

  • Travel to a customer's facility or distribution center with a fully equipped "bay on wheels" to perform preventive maintenance services and repairs.
  • Provide accurate, efficient service to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers.
  • Ensure every traveler is returned to the road better than they came.
  • Diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations to customers.
  • Understand and follow Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
  • Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations.

Requirements

  • A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination on an annual basis.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of products sold and services provided.
  • Understanding of Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
  • Committed to providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $17.00 - 28.00 per hour. The actual pay will depend on various factors including responsibilities, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.

Schedule

Flexible schedule to accommodate night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to outdoor elements in all seasons.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
  • Noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
  • Exposure to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high-concentrated cleaning solutions, etc.
