Mobile Diesel Mechanic / Field Diesel Technician - Hermiston, OR

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-road and customer on-site maintenance services
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy duty equipment
  • Read and interpret schematics for electrical and air systems
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the mobile service truck
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications
  • Make necessary adjustments if required

Requirements

  • Two years or more of heavy equipment dealership experience preferred
  • Three years of actual truck repair experience needed
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable
  • CDL-A is a plus
  • Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain
  • A full complement of tools required for diesel equipment repair including wrenches and sockets to 1 ¼”, 3/8” and ½” drive air tools, floor creeper and a roll around tool cabinet

Pay

Compensation based upon level of skill and experience, hourly compensation is $20.00 to $40.00. Night shift, weekend shift, and lead/mentor differential pay available.
