About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of experience to support software development and deployment initiatives. This role will focus on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud and containerized environments, automating operational processes, and ensuring reliable software deployments. The ideal candidate will have strong coding skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and containerized environments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
  • Automate repetitive operational and system administration tasks.
  • Support smooth, reliable, and secure software deployments.
  • Contribute to DevOps workflows through scripting and automation.
  • Apply enterprise security policies and standards across operational activities.
  • Support system performance optimization, maintenance, and production issues as needed.
  • Translate business and system requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Assist with customer issue resolution and vendor management.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of DevOps or related experience.
  • Strong software development and coding skills.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) management tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.

Skills

  • Azure cloud platform and Azure PaaS services.
  • CI/CD tools and methodologies, including GitLab and Azure DevOps.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Source control platforms including Git.
  • Scripting and automation experience.
  • Containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, AKS, and Kubernetes.
  • REST API integrations and support.
  • DevOps, DevSecOps, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Security scanning and controls within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Virtualization technologies.
  • Networking fundamentals, including firewalls, load balancers, reverse proxies, F5 LTM/GTM, and Azure networking services.
  • Test automation and orchestration experience (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Google Play and Apple App Store deployment portals.
  • Medical device industry experience (preferred, not required).
  • Experience managing external vendors and technology partners.

Additional Information

Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective communicators. Local candidates are preferred; however, relocation at the candidate's expense is acceptable if completed within two weeks and does not impact onboarding. Potential for contract extension and/or full-time conversion for the right candidate, though neither is guaranteed.
