Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional, performance, stability, and reliability tests on mobile and consumer electronic devices.
- Follow established test plans and create or modify test cases based on product requirements.
- Evaluate mobile devices from an end-user perspective and identify issues affecting usability or performance.
- Perform wireless testing in both controlled environments and real-world/mobile locations.
- Collect, review, and analyze device logs to identify potential software, hardware, modem, or connectivity issues.
- Investigate failures, reproduce defects, and assist engineering teams with root-cause analysis.
- Use mobile diagnostic and debugging tools to capture technical information and support issue resolution.
- Prepare clear test reports documenting test results, failures, observations, and recommendations.
- Work independently to troubleshoot testing challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and technical teams throughout the validation process.
- Provide technical assistance and knowledge-sharing to junior or less-experienced team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in mobile device testing, consumer electronics testing, wireless testing, or software/hardware validation.
- Hands-on experience testing Android and/or iOS devices.
- Experience with log collection, log analysis, debugging, and defect investigation.
- Exposure to modem testing or wireless device validation.
- Familiarity with one or more mobile diagnostic tools such as: QXDM, QPST, QCAT, ELT, similar Qualcomm or wireless diagnostic tools.
- Comfortable working with Windows PCs, including: installing device drivers, managing files and folders, troubleshooting basic Windows issues, using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures accurately.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering teams.
