Mobile Developer Senior

Location: Ashburn, VA, US. Full‑Time, Day shift. Hybrid schedule – 4 days on‑site per week for the first year, then 2‑3 days on‑site thereafter. No travel required. Public‑trust clearance required; US citizenship required.

About the role

SAIC is seeking a motivated, career‑ and customer‑oriented Mobile Developer (Senior) to join the team in Ashburn, VA. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on engaging mobile solutions using modern development tools and practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging, intuitive, and reusable React Native components.
• Use modern software engineering tools including VS Code, GitLab, and Atlassian Suites for ticketing, documentation, development, and testing.
• Present solutions at formal and informal design reviews with the Technical Lead and document designs according to the Government’s system lifecycle methodology.
• Interface with native code on Android and iOS from React Native.
• Write unit tests and end‑to‑end tests using the team’s chosen framework.
• Participate in daily scrums and code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers in React Native.
• Stay up to date with React Native technology updates and trends.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 9+ years of technical experience.
• Proven mobile development experience.
• React Native (a plus) and native iOS/Android development.
• Experience with Detox.
• TypeScript.
• Constructing and debugging CI/CD pipelines for mobile targets.
• Understanding of REST APIs and micro‑service architecture.
• Unit test and end‑to‑end test development.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience using RTK Query.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools.
• Experience working on an agile team such as Scrum.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (a plus).

Customer Requirements

• Ability to obtain and hold a public‑trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP background investigation.
• US citizenship.
• On‑site presence in Ashburn, VA (5 days per week for the first year).

Pay

Target salary range: $160,001 – $200,000 (typical range based on experience and other factors).
