Tasks And Responsibilities
- Perform daily safety inspections of crane and work area to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on crane equipment, including fluid levels, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Complete daily rigging inspections to verify proper setup and secure load handling.
- Operate mobile cranes for tasks including: off-loading and loading trucks, ensuring proper documentation accompanies each load;
- Moving materials in and out of buildings;
- Erecting and laying down tanks and vessels for testing purposes;
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and operational activities.
Competencies
- Knowledge of rigging practices, load charts, and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy materials as required.
- Work may involve extended periods of standing, climbing, and operating heavy equipment.
Qualifications
- Valid crane operator certification (e.g., NCCCO or equivalent).
- Proven experience operating mobile cranes in industrial or construction environments.
