Mobile Correctional Officer MTC

Responsibilities
- Transform lives by equipping individuals with the skills needed to reintegrate into society.
- Assist in staffing needs at various facilities across Missouri.
- Report to the Maryville Treatment Center by 8am each Tuesday to receive orders and return at approximately 8pm on Saturdays.
- Supervise offenders in housing units, during work activities, and during recreational/religious activities.
- Conduct inspections for health and safety hazards, prepare reports, and discuss minor adjustment problems with offenders.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a background investigation administered by the Missouri Department of Corrections.
- Completion of Defensive Tactics and Standard First Aid/CPR training during Basic Training administered by the Missouri Department of Corrections.
- Possession of a valid vehicle operator’s license.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid vehicle operator’s license.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation administered by the Missouri Department of Corrections.
- Must be able to complete Defensive Tactics and Standard First Aid/CPR training during Basic Training administered by the Missouri Department of Corrections.
- May be required to complete firearms certification training administered by the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Pay
The annual salary for this position is $45,555.60, which is based on a normal 40-hour workweek. This position is also eligible for retention/longevity pay, shift differential and overtime pay in accordance with departmental policy D2-8.4 Compensatory Time and Office of Administration’s Division of Personnel Differential Pay Guidelines.
Schedule
The work schedule is Tuesday thru Saturday, 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Benefits
- A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
- A $0.75 per hour medium security or $1.50 maximum security differential if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
- A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
Pay Increase
The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
