Mobile Clinic Driver (As Needed)
Summary Of Position
The Mobile Clinic Driver is responsible for safely transporting and positioning a 30-foot mobile medical clinic throughout Bladen, Brunswick, and Columbus counties. This position ensures the mobile unit is operational, properly maintained, clean, and prepared for patient services.

Required Educational/Experiential Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an excellent driving record required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Fluency in English required
- Ability to use GPS technology effectively
- Successful completion of CPI and de-escalation training, or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification required, or ability to obtain upon hire
- Ability to comply with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the mobile clinic in compliance with organizational policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Transport, position, set up, and break down the mobile clinic at designated service locations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic safety checks
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance as needed
- Maintain adequate inventory of station and operational supplies
- Auxiliary support for Mobile Clinic Vehicle Managers as needed
- Auxiliary support for Mobile Clinic Coordinator
- Complete required reports and documentation at the end of each shift
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Promptly report traffic accidents, incidents, or emergencies to appropriate personnel and complete required reports
- Demonstrate professionalism, cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and compassion in all patient interactions
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Mobile Clinic Coordinator
Additional Information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, caregivers, staff, and community partners
- Ability to work independently and remain calm in emergency or high-stress situations
- Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and position patients and equipment as needed
- Adequate corrected hearing and vision to safely operate vehicles and communicate effectively
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments involving potential exposure to illness, injury, and bloodborne pathogens
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety standards
Work Environment
This position involves regular travel throughout the service area and may require exposure to varying weather conditions, medical environments, and emergency situations. Occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens may occur.
