Behavioral Health Connections, Inc. is a provider of patient-focused, comprehensive mental health services. We offer mental health evaluations to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in crisis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all holidays. Our service model focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of mental health patients. Based on the results of an assessment, we determine the most appropriate level of care and recommend treatment facilities. Our tele-psychiatric assessment and consultation services connect people with the care providers best equipped to address their mental health issues. Rapid response ensures patients reach the most appropriate level of care faster, expediting their journey to wellness.

About the Role

The Mobile Assessment Team Evaluator ("Assessor") provides mental health assessments for contracted emergency rooms and/or hospitals, recommends the appropriate level of treatment based on risk factors, and triages patients to appropriate services.

Responsibilities

  • Crisis intervention
  • Mental health assessment
  • Counseling and referral services
  • Completion of Memorandum of Transfer

Requirements

  • Degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health, or related field
  • Current license in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current CPR certification, if required by a customer hospital
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Completion of appropriate internship, including provision of individual, group, or family therapy/counseling
  • Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy/counseling
  • Mobile assessment experience preferred
