Mobile App Developer (1-Year Temporary)

As a Mobile App Developer, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the next generation of health and safety applications for iOS and Android, using the latest technologies and industry best practices.
About the Role
As an App Developer, you will analyze business requirements and client needs to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications that support our products, services, and external clients. Reporting to the Manager of Digital Innovation and Development, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating, maintaining, and implementing application source code.
- Designing prototype applications and determining program structure.
- Coordinating application plans with the development team or clients.
- Researching, recommending, and implementing relevant technologies to support organizational goals.
- Building new and supporting existing mobile apps, testing changes to website infrastructure, and documenting system structures and processes.
- Collaborating with other professionals to provide outstanding IT support for both internal and external clients.
Requirements
- A university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics, or a college diploma with a concentration in computer technology (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Five years of experience with scripting and programming languages, particularly Objective-C/Swift in an iOS development environment. Experience with Java/Kotlin in an Android development environment is desirable.
- Experience building mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms using Flutter is an asset.
- Experience developing and deploying mobile applications for Web, iOS, and Android platforms, including knowledge of development tools and frameworks.
- Significant exposure to web server software, web standards, and protocols such as HTML, XML, CSS, HTTP, and web service architectures (e.g., Bootstrap).
- Understanding of human interface guidelines and design language for iOS and Android.
- Proficiency in using macOS, plus experience with other operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
- Experience with a relational DBMS such as MySQL.

Pay
Salary range: $86,076 to $110,825 per annum (CCOHS-09).
