MO-KS Area Aviation Market Sector Leader

About the role

This position serves as the Area Market Sector Leader for the MOKS Area, focusing on setting vision and direction for the expansion and provision of aviation services to both current and potential clients. Responsibilities include client management, pursuit championing, project management, and business development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as client manager and project manager for future assignments and pursuits with key clients in the area.
• Identify and develop project opportunities, and act as a resource for HDR pursuits.
• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large multi-discipline projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity.
• Assist the Area Business Group Manager in delivering services within the Aviation Market Sector.
• Take on Project Management Assignments that make sense for this leadership role.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in aviation planning and/or engineering.
• If an engineer, maintain engineering registration with Area states.
• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services.
• Experience in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits.
• Experience in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path, and professional growth.
• Experience with industry associations and maintaining a visible profile in the market sector.
