About the role
Benchmark Human Services is seeking a Team Coordinator to join our First Steps Early Intervention program in St. Louis City. Our mission is to empower families and young children with developmental delays or disabilities to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) team Service Coordinator (SC) and facilitator of the IFSP process for an assigned caseload.
- Aid in the development and implementation of Service Provider Organization Evaluation (SPOE) administration plans for recruitment.
- Aid in the administration of SPOE plans for Early Intervention Teachers (EI) examiners.
- Assist in the review of Early Intervention Teams (EITs), including provider authorizations, EI examiners, provider numbers, vacancies, and EIT attendance.
- Facilitate regular EIT meetings within the region.
- Address complaints regarding providers and oversee provider performance to ensure quality services, support team-based care, address billing and provider concerns, coordinate service delivery, and assist with staffing needs.
- Participate in company and state leadership meetings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Child/Human Development, Nursing, Psychology, Education Administration, Sociology, Family Science/Studies, Counseling, or related field.
- One year of experience working with families and young children.
- One year of leadership/management experience.
- Provider enrollment qualifications for Service Coordinator.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
