About the role

Dana Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN has immediate openings for Maintenance Technicians. The successful candidates will work with their hands in a team environment within a challenging, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• New equipment installation, CNC troubleshooting and repair, hydraulics, automation, and PLC controlled equipment
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing the mechanics of production-based equipment
• Reading hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical prints
• Performing preventative maintenance and completing work orders
• Fabrication of machine guards, work platforms, and other items used in the manufacturing process
• Threading, crimping, and installing pipe used for steam, gas, water, air, and liquid
• Using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments for exacting measurements
• Working from general assignments with minimal supervision
• Closing all work orders assigned in Emaint accurately and timely each day
• Following all safety policies and procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to occasionally sit, crawl, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinch, crouch/squat, forward bend, forward sit, forward stand, and climb stairs/ladders
• Ability to frequently stand and walk
• Ability to exert light lifting and carrying under 25 lbs up to 33% of the time
• Ability to exert moderate lifting and carrying of 25-49 lbs up to 33% of the time
• Ability to exert heavy lifting and carrying of 50+ lbs up to 33% of the time
• Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion activities

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson card or 8 years of practical trade-related experience
• Experience with machining operations (turning, milling, hobbing)
• Experience with grinding operations
• Experience with heat treat operations
• Experience with assembly operations (light pressing, gaging)
• Experience with welding operations (Arc, Mig)
• Machine repair/hydraulic expertise preferred

Pay

Up to $39.25/hr
