MMIC Design Engineering Manager

Key responsibilities

• Hands-on leader responsible for managing GaAs and GaN amplifier designs
• Lead the Lowell amplifier design team (7 engineers)
• Set timelines, budgets, and resources allocation to ensure timely execution of milestones
• Maintain projects in AGILE
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to team members and peers
• Review MMIC designs and recommend design changes as necessary
• Drive projects forward through the design and evaluation phases of product development to reduce time-to-market
• Interface and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Sales and Operations) to ensure manufacturable designs, quality requirements, and timeline goals are met for each product
• Work with product engineering to transition projects from product development phase to product introduction phase
• Support sales and marketing teams with feasibility studies and cost estimates to support proposals for new business development
• Perform design work for the first 6 months to better learn new product development procedures and documentation requirements

Key qualifications

• BSEE or MSEE with 10+ years of experience in MMIC amplifier design of RF and microwave
• Previous engineering management experience is preferred
• Knowledge of power amplifier design techniques
• Working knowledge of ADS
• Good understanding of RF test and measurement techniques
• Experience with AGILE is a plus
• Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects in parallel
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Pay

The Salary Range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
